It’s the only Godzilla movie I liked from Hollywood. I found the build-up to the kaiju reveals to be so well done, complemented by the excellent score! The scale and sound design are the main highlights. Built for the big screen with great speakers!

Remarkably well-made movie in difficult locations. Once it gets going, it has relentless pacing and sustains a vivid wilderness chase. The physical brutality can put off some but nearly everything in the movie plays a role.

I watched this mainly for Joaquin Phoenix’s magnetic performance, though the film certainly has moments that leave a strong impression. It felt less self-important and more focused on showing his internal justification. Or perhaps that simply depends on the viewing perspective.

Finally, a good movie in the Alien franchise! I found this to be a really good surprise that brings and builds the dread and horror in some amazing moments, but the main small weakness is the lost opportunity by messing up few key moments by characters.

Like Prometheus, which was released 5 years earlier, Covenant also feels CGI-heavy and rushed but with characters that are less memorable. Some great moments but it feels like a sequel to a sequel in some strange way.

Hilarious British sitcom with chaotic energy and endlessly quotable banter! The basement trio and characters like Douglas and Richmond make even ridiculous setups work so well. I wish there was less laugh soundtrack, but it doesn’t stop being funny.

I haven't watched S3-S4 but season one is still television at its finest with unmatched packaging and southern gothic dread! Season two gets messy and convoluted, but the gritty noir mood still works. Watch the first season with good headphones!

I found Shōgun to be very well-made and wonderfully detailed! The characters, acting, dialogue and political scheming are built up with patience. Best to watch on a big screen because you will need subtitles.
